This poster was printed in 1975 for the Chinese army. It shows Mao talking with his successor Hua Guofeng. After 10 years of killing and persecution, Mao almost eliminated all of his rivals. At the end, Mao had to pick up Hua, a very submissive man, as his successor because his only son who was not handicapped was killed in Korean War. Hua's government was overthrown by Deng Xiaoping in 1978. The poster was published in the army to help Hua gain authority in the army. The Chinese words on the bottom mean, "I always trust you."
